The Stretch

After crossing the Ice Sea, one is rewarded with this. It is said that an underground hot air pocket causes this stretch of land to stay lush all year round. Its a a phenomenon that happens nowhere else, and is a spectacle to behold. During the night, gentle snows will fall, only to evaporate before hitting the still warm ground. This causes a light fog that puts a refreshing dew over everything. The sun overhead provides the light, and this all keeps The Stretch lush even during the winter seasons. Herds often come down off the mountains to graze, and predators often follow.
